Houston Business Journal Names Nic Phillips to 40 Under 40

HBJ 40 Under 40

Now in its fourth year, the 40 Under 40 designation honors Houston business people who contribute to their industries and community in an impressive way. Judges selected 40 individuals who stood out for their accomplishments and the impact they are making in the Houston community. Nicholas Phillips is honored to join the 40 Under 40 Class of 2012.

Recipients of the award will be honored during HBJ's 4-day, multi-event celebration Celebrate Enterprise an event designed for C-Level executives and business leaders to share ideas, gather insight and celebrate capitalism and the entrepreneurial spirit in Houston.

Houston City Council votes unanimously to confirm the appointment of Nicholas Phillips to the Houston Read Commission

On November 9th, 2011, Houston City Council voted unanimously to confirm the appointment of Nicholas Phillips to the Board of Directors of the Houston READ Commission. Mr. Phillips will serve a 3-year term in Position 12.

Mayor Annie Parker thanked appointee Phillips for his willingness to serve and Council Member Mike Sullivan congratulated via letter saying, "I believe with your diverse professional background and community involvement, you will provide valuable support to the Houston READ Commission. The talent and drive you have shown in your professional career will be of great benefit to this commission and will help lead them into a bright and prosperous future."

Nicholas Phillips has been selected to receive a 2010 Ovation Award.

The Ovation Awards honor Houston's next generation of dynamic young leaders - people who pave the way for young professionals in the realm of philanthropic, charitable, and civic endeavors. By recognizing the dedication of these key influencers other young people will be encouraged to become involved in Houston's philanthropic, charitable, and civic arenas.

Ovation Award winners are selected from a pool of nominees and will be honored at the Encore Party, the after party for Houston Grand Opera's Opera Ball on April 10, 2010.
