 The Tasting Room is probably the most popular wine bar around. The whole wine bar concept has come on strong the last couple of years in Houston, and The Tasting Room was the pioneer. There are two locations convient to Downtown; a small location in Midtown, and my usual hangout in the River Oaks area. Both are listed here, but essentially they are the same goods. I would say they're fair priced, and the cheese and pizzas offerings could make a meal. I suggest the Texas Truffled Portabello pizza - my favorite in town.
