Treebeards has been the place
for lunch in downtown Houston since 1978. Their fresh Southern food is
fantastic and is served in some of the most unique locations in Houston
one of which being Christ Church Cathedral's social hall and the 1861
Baker-Travis Building on Houston's Market Square. In
1981 the clergy of Christ Church Cathedral asked Treebeards to
operate the food service in the church's restaurant, The
Cloister, and today you can still get their special food here every weekday.
Service is steam table cafeteria style and I highly, highly recommended
the shrimp etoufee or any of the daily specials won't treat you wrong!
